BUT all the things he did in life, he did it out of loyalty. out of love.
killing the minotaur? to help grover and out of grief.
going on that first quest? to save his mother.
the tree? because it was important to both Annabeth and grover AND it protected the camp.
holding the sky? Zoe.
giving luke the dagger? thalia and Annabeth.
tartarus? annabeth.
even trying to not get hurt wasn't because of himself, it was because his mum and Annabeth would be worried.
every single thing percy did, it wasn't out of anything but pure and strong loyalty to the ones he loved.
